Asia Cup is the third biggest multi-nation ODI tournament after World Cup and Champions Trophy and since it stamps regional supremacy, it would have been sensible if India’s top match winner was part of the team. While some critics slammed the Indian board for resting Virat from this important series, which is staged after a gap of two years, the decision has been widely welcomed by cricket lovers and pundits.
