Time For The Rusted Guns To Recoil And Fire!!!

In this modern and accelerating era of cricket it can be rightly said that “time waits for no one and one has to perform or perish”. With the introduction of T20, cricket has become a game of power hitting and acrobatic fielding. To achieve this, the cricket boards are investing in young blood. In the recently concluded IPL mega auction, it was evident from the start that franchises have become smarter and instead of going blindfolded for the big names, they concentrated more on genuine match winners. With the exponential drop in the value of the big fishes, it’s high time for them to perform or get ready to become a forgotten commodity. Here is the list of players, who are looking to stamp their authority on the stage of Indian Premier League.

YUVRAJ SINGH

Regarded as the sixer king of Indian cricket, the man of the tournament in 2011 World Cup and 2007 T20 World Cup, is struggling for a place in the national side since June 2017. He surprised many when he made a comeback after recovering from a dreadful disease like cancer, but from that time his frequent ins and outs have weakened his spot in Team India. The left-hander, who was once bought by Delhi Daredevils for a whopping amount of 16 crores, got just 2 crores in this year’s IPL. He will turn up to play for Kings XI Punjab but an alarming decline in the price tag clearly suggest that he will have to play exceptionally well if he has to retain any hope of playing for India in the 2019 World Cup.
