Having been thumped 0-3 in the one-dayers in South Africa, Team India will be keen to gain some momentum in the ODI series at home against West Indies. The three-match series will be played from February 6 to 11. All the games of the one-day series will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India have rested senior pace bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami for the series, which means the young pacers will get a chance to impress. Also, vicecaptain KL Rahul will join the team from the second ODI onwards. Ahead of the series, we look at India’s predicted XI for the 1st ODI.

OPENERS: ROHIT SHARMA, ISHAN KISHAN

India should open with skipper Rohit Sharma, who returns to the team after missing the South Africa tour due to a hamstring injury. Rohit’s performances as both batter and leader will be under the scanner considering India’s weak showing in his absence in recent games. It also remains to be seen whether Rohit looks rusty.
