Yet another overseas Test series and yet another loss series loss for Team India. After conceding the series against England 1-3 at Southampton, Virat Kohli and his men would have to go back to the drawing board and reflect on where they have gone wrong yet again.

While India’s bowlers have been surprisingly good, it is the batsmen who have let the team down recently. In fact, there has been a common pattern in the way most of the Indian batsmen have played in the Test series against England. Barring Virat Kohli, and to an extent Cheteshwar Pujara, most of the batsmen have been casual and lackluster in their approach. There has been no application and a desire to actually spend time at the wicket and grind it out.
