Indian Premier League (IPL) defending champions Chennai Super Kings look sorted after getting what they desired for in the 2022 mega auction recently. CSK have a solid squad going with the kind of direction they always seek. CSK are a side that always blends with experience, and they have got back the core of players that made them so successful over the years. The side will once again be led by MS Dhoni, who will be aiming to level the number of trophies won by the Mumbai Indians (5). CSK got a like-a-like replacement for Faf du Plessis in the opening department in the form of Devon Conway. They got hold of players that were released in the form of Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayudu, and Mitchell Santner. They also spent a whopping sum to get back pacer Deepak Chahar which was a sound move given his new-ball exploits. CSK not only have the desired XI in place, but the bench strength is visible as well.

CSK will go into the tournament as one of the favourites, and they will be keen to make a sound impact under MS Dhoni.
