New Bhoys already making an impact with the Scottish champions

THE transfer window closed at midnight on Monday, September 2, with Celtic further strengthening their squad with the arrival of three more players on deadline day.

Scotland internationalist, Greg Taylor, joined from Kilmarnock, signing a four-year deal with the Treble Treble winners, while highly-rated young defenders, Jeremie Frimpong and Lee O’Connor, joined from Manchester City and Manchester United respectively.

It was a strong transfer window for the Scottish champions, with five of the new Bhoys impressing in the recent derby win over Rangers at Ibrox. That 2-0 win maintained Celtic’s 100 per cent start to the Premiership campaign, and came off the back of Neil Lennon’s side booking their place in the group stages of the UEFA Europa League.

Christopher Jullien was the first to arrive in Paradise this summer. The 26-year-old defender joined on a four-year deal from French side, Toulouse, where he had made over 100 appearances and scored eight goals. He made his Celtic debut in the 2-0 win in Estonia over Nomme Kalju, while he netted his first goal for the Hoops in the recent 4-1 win over AIK in Stockholm. And Jullien produced a Man of the Match performance in the 2-0 Glasgow derby win prior to the international break.
