Brit bides his time to crack the cyclo-cross big leagues
Thomas Mein chalked up his biggest victory to date at the Tabor World Cup U23 cyclo-cross race at the weekend.
The Newcastle-born Brit, who rides for trade team Tarteletto-Isorex when not on national squad duties, played it smart in the race, keeping it calm to stay with the lead riders before timing his attack well to solo to the win by a comfortable margin.
Mein said getting his first win at a UCI World Cup was an “incredible feeling”. He added: “I waited a long time for it to happen but it was definitely worth the wait.”
