Jo Bruton Trophy Summer, 1987

National champion Lisa​ Brambani (Ravensthorpe CC) rides to second place in the Jo Bruton Trophy (sprinter Sally Hodge of Cardiff Ajax took the main honours).

Brambini had won the previous two editions of the trophy, held over a series of races that culminated in the summer, in 1985 and ’86. It was always a hotly contested affair and Brambani remembers it fondly: “That series as a whole was fantastic because it was in the memory of Jo Bruton and her whole family was a massive cycling family.
