Is there a decade that goes by when some major work isn’t going on at Herne Hill Velodrome in South London? In his ‘Out and About’ column, writer GHS asks whether or not ‘path racing’ can be revived. Path racing meant racing on cinder tracks or even on grass, now called grass track racing. Many venues had been lost to development.
