Top 5 Easiest Boss Fights in Videogames

Boss fights in videogames are intended to be a challenge for the player as they test their skills against an enemy of unique standing and power. Essentially, they should be some of the most memorable and difficult sections of a game. Some bosses only achieve half of that description.

These five boss fights have built a lasting reputation for the ease at which they can be conquered. Whether they are an extremely easy pushover early in a game, a gag fight whose whole purpose is to be a comically simple opponent, or are just poorly designed in a way that fails to account for any player effort, the bosses on this list are some of the least stress-inducing battles in gaming history.

5. Bubble Man – Mega Man 2

It’s not like there aren’t plenty of difficult Robot Masters in Mega Man games, but the Metal Blade in the series’ second entry makes super quick work of nearly half of Dr. Wily’s creations. Flash Man and (bizarrely) Metal Man are no match to this overpowered weapon, yet Bubble Man makes it onto this list for offering the weakest resistance to his inevitable four-hit death. Not only is his main projectile based on fragile pockets of air that children love to play with, but Bubble Man’s jumping arc and the arena’s spiked-ceiling are rendered useless by the Metal Blade’s eight-directional shooting. Bubble Man is as threatening as his name suggests, and he sinks to fifth place on this countdown.

Dragonkin: The Banished

I decided to check out the Early Access of Dragonkin: The Banished, an isometric hack-and-slash action RPG developed by Eko Software and published by Nacon. I've always been interested in playing something like Diablo, but due to Activision-Blizzard's less-than-stellar track record over the years, I've avoided it like the plague until now. So, what did I experience in this little slice of dragon slaying?

Guards II: Chaos in Hell

Have you ever wanted a game that you could play in the background without requiring hours of your emotional time? I'm talking about a game that you can pick up after a long break and not have to spend half your playtime trying to figure out what happened the last time you played. Well, that's the kind of game Guards II: Chaos in Hell from developer Battlecruiser Games wants to be, so let's see if this is a journey into Hell that is worth taking, or if you’d be better served playing Minesweeper again.
