Panasonic Introduces Telephoto Zoom Lens

Panasonic has introduced a new telephoto zoom digital interchangeable lens, the Leica DG VarioSummilux 25-50 mm f/1.7 ASPH.

The new lens is designed to be paired with the Leica DG Vario-Summilux 10-25 mm f/1.7 ASPH. The two lenses cover a focussing distance from wide angle to telephoto, functioning as eight fixed focal length lenses (20 mm / 24 mm / 28 mm / 35 mm / 50 mm / 75 mm / 85 mm / 100 mm and 35 mm camera equivalent).

Comprising 16 elements in 11 groups, the lens system features an aspherical lens and three Extra-low Dispersion (ED) lenses that suppress the axial chromatic aberration and chromatic aberration of magnification.
