WONDROUS MAGIC-ART

Kristina Makeeva is a photographer based in Moscow, got a hold on camera at the age of 16. She is working on a global project called “Simple Magic Things” where she looks for magic in everyday life. A project with dresses is a way to show how people and their creations can organically fit into the beauty of this world. Her favorite countries are the United Kingdom and New Zealand. She tries to implement her ideas inspired by her dreams and the process goes on with every new dream. Everyone is surrounded by exactly the amount of beauty that he/she can see.

Your pictures have a very unique and mesmerizing style. When and how did you discover ‘magicart’ as your signature style?

I seem to have discovered it in myself from the very beginning. At the age of 14, I started working in Photoshop, shooting at 16. And I created my worlds from the very beginning. That is how I started and never looked back. I have always wanted to broaden the horizon in what I do. That is, give layers and work on every little detail and make it unusual from the other.
