Blue Hill Public Library
The library is looking more like old times now! We are all still wearing our masks inside the library and ask everyone else to do so as well, but the tables, chairs, and public computers are back and available to use, all entrances are open, newspapers and magazines are out for browsing; also no more having to take a ticket to come in, or worrying about which staircase you can go up or down. Our plant sale is going great and continues through June 12. Stop by and see us soon!
June Art Show – Eliot Sweet
For the month of June, the retrospective on Blue Hill artisan Eliot Sweet (1906-2000) will continue and expand beyond the Howard Room glass cases into the Britton Gallery. Curated by his granddaughter Kathleen Murray, this additional part of the show will include a collection of original paintings, carved wooden sculptures and etchings, featuring various pieces Eliot created throughout the course of his life that show his wide skill set and artistic talents.
