Sales generate $5,000

BLUE HILL—On Saturday, September 19, Downeast Community Partners and At Home held a virtual auction as its seventh annual Round Robin Fundraiser. All proceeds will benefit the At Home program, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide in-home care and other services to area elders.
The remote, online fundraiser differed from those in years past, which took place at Blue Hill Country Club with an all-day round-robin tennis tournament. Coordinators, out of concern for the risk of COVID-19, canceled the sports program this time.

A step toward effective climate strategy
As weather-related disasters ramp up around the state and the country, the most noticeable increase in public participation in these climate-related discussions is a demand for more government funding for repairs and adaptation, and yet pretty much zero discussion about decreasing the rate of climate warming. This is both unsurprising and a cause for deep concern.
