The holidays are going to look different for everyone this year. But for those who live alone, these changes might hit particularly hard. If you are looking around your house and wondering how to make the end-of-year holidays feel festive, you are in good company. Here’s how you can still enjoy the holidays even if you’re flying solo.
Plan ahead
Don’t wait until the holiday is upon you to make a plan. Come up with something you can do during that period. Just knowing what you’ll be doing in advance “can bring some peace”, said Ivy Kwong, a marriage and family therapist who specialises in healing co-dependency.
