THORSTVEDT: NEW BOSS CAN BE AN INSPIRATION
TOTTENHAM’S hunt for a new manager has lasted almost as long as the season itself.
But after the appointment of former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo, one former club favourite is calling for patience as the Portuguese begin his North London tenure.
Erik Thorstvedt experienced more than a few upheavals during his eight years at the club, not least the departure of FA Cup-winning manager Terry Venables in 1993.
The arrival of Nuno, though, follows months of speculation over potential candidates for a role that was in danger of turning toxic.
And former Norway goalkeeper Thorstvedt is calling for the new man to be given time to stamp his style on the current Spurs crop.
He believes that’s the least Nuno deserves after turning around Wolves’ fortunes during his four years at Molineux.
