Hizb Jolted As Its Top Man Killed In Jammu

An Army personnel was killed in an gunbattle with terrorists in a village in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district on Sunday. The two terrorists involved in the encounter belonged to the banned terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen. One of them has been identified as Tahir Ahmad Bhat, a ‘wanted’ Hizbul terrorist, from Kashmir's Pulwama. He was an associate of slain Hizb commander Haroon Abbas Wani from Doda district.

The encounter started when security forces launched a joint operation in Posta-Potra village in Gundana area, 26 kms from Doda town, following information about presence of some terrorists, the officials said.
