Rishi Urges Stormont Not To Make Reunification A Priority

RISHI Sunak urged Northern Ireland's leaders to focus on "dayto-day" issues rather than debating reunification as he welcomed the return of power-sharing.
The Prime Minister warned that "constitutional change" should not be a priority after new Sinn Fein First First Minister Michelle O'Neill claimed a border poll could be held within the next 10 years. Instead politicians were pressed to prioritise the NHS and public-sector pay as he met senior members of the new executive on a two-day trip to the province.
Mr Sunak said: "This is a historic and important day for the country because Northern Ireland's politicians are back in charge, making decisions on behalf of their people, which is exactly how it should be.
