Described as a “paleo health hub and creative work space”, Flow recently opened at Jumeirah Emirates Towers says What’s On.

The “sharing-style menu” is filled with healthy snacks, salads and small plates, plus a mixture of vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and paleo-friendly options. The healthy waffles are “a good place to start”. Thankfully, there’s “no cardboard consistency” here – just a “beautifully fluffy” whole-wheat blueberry waffle, served with a light honey lime yoghurt, toasted almonds, coconut and an avocado smoothie. The egg baba ghanoush, drizzled in homemade sumac yoghurt hollandaise, had “us clambering aboard the healthy eating train”. The subtle difference to actual hollandaise is refreshing. The “standout” of a rainbow palette of sliders was the halloumi, butternut squash and mushroom, served on a charcoal bun. We “gave in to temptation” and finished with a slice of incredible carrot cake, before realising it, too, was healthy. We can’t “forget” the coffee, either.
