CHESTERFIELD failed to cement their place in the play-off places as they were held at home by a relentless Wealdstone side, who belied their lowly league position.

The Spireites couldn’t capitalise on their dominance throughout the game, failing to really test George Shelvey in the Wealdstone goal.

But despite their dominance, it was Wealdstone who had the better chances. Dennon Lewis squnadered the opportunity to put the Stones ahead at the end, getting on the end of a ball from Ryan Gondoh before putting a one-on-one straight at keeper James Montgomery.

Wealdstone manager Stuart Maynard felt his team deserved to walk away with all three points after executing his game plan excellently.
