MICHAEL Golding admit-ted he had mixed emo-tions after guiding his Corinthian to within one round of Wembley following a pulsating quarter-final victory over Leighton Town.

The Kent side edged a seven-goal thriller against the Spartan South Midlands League outfit thanks to a dramatic late winner from Emmanuel Oleyede.

It capped a rollercoaster tie which saw Leighton twice peg back early deficits to lead going into the final quarter before Jack Bath and Oleyede turned the tables once more for the Southern Counties East side.

“I have very mixed emotions,” a mightily relieved Golding said. “I was delighted to get the early goal and then some terrible defending levelled it up – the game was played at such a high speed.

“It’s hard for Leighton to take but our boys kept going and worked incredibly hard and I am so proud.”
