PROUD Steve King believes he’s landed one of the best jobs in the National League South at Dartford – and he’s determined to bring the good times back.
King was out of work after leaving Welling United in the summer despite taking them to the brink of the National League.
His Wings side coped with mid-season budget cuts to finish third in the table before suffering narrow defeat to Woking in the promotion final having seen off Chelmsford City in the semi-final.
The former Lewes, Farnborough, Macclesfield and Whitehawk boss’ record in the division is unrivalled and the Darts have handed him the keys following the departure of joint-managers Jamie Coyle and Adam Flanagan at the beginning of September.
King takes over with the Kent club, who missed out on a play-off finish last season, two points above the relegation zone having won just two of their first 12 games.
