NEIL CUGLEY was in double-celebratory mood as he began his 25th season in charge of Folkestone with a comeback win over fancied Worthing in a game which exploded into life after both sides missed a penalty.
The visitors led the league when it was Covid-curtailed in each of the last two seasons. And the long-serving Cugley acknowledge this, telling the NLP: “We beat a quality side today, so I was delighted. We played really well. And to be fair to their manager he said how well we had done.
“Both players will be disappointed to have missed their penalties but credit to the goalkeepers as they were two good saves. We kept our shape really well and.”
