Frustrated Beavers Are Blocked By Leaders' Dam
HAMPTON & Richmond boss Alan Dowson felt his side could have won after creating the better chances against leaders Havant – but they failed to make up ground in the title race.
The result sees the Beavers stay five points behind the table-topping Hawks in third place.
Dowson told The NLP: “We battered them in the second half. I felt the referee was poor, however the table doesn’t lie.
“We got a point away against the league leaders which, in my view, sets us up nicely for the run-in.”
Hampton got off to the quicker start and a neat through ball from Brendon Kiernan almost reached the unmarked Shaun Jeffers but keeper Ryan Young cleared.
