Shawcross lured Miami move

DAVID Beckham wants to take Stoke legend Ryan Shawcross to Inter Miami.
That proved to be the main talking point before, during, and after the Potters’ home clash against Reading when the two sides canceled each other out.
Shawcross was left out of the game and not even named on the bench and is on the verge of leaving for the States.
But boss Michael O’Neill revealed: “There is interest in Shawcross from an MLS club at the minute. Discussions are open but nothing is concluded.”
Beckham is co-owner of Inter Miami and has appointed former Manchester United team-mate Phil Neville as manager. Shawcross, 33, has been recovering from a leg broken in a pre-season friendly at Leicester 18 months ago and has also had a groin operation and calf problems. He hasn’t started a league game for Stoke since last June but is revered by Potters fans.
