Frank relieved tie is settled as Foxes ease into the fifth round

THOMAS Frank was proud to watch Brentford push Leicester close in this fourth-round clash – and also happy a winner was decided on the day.

Kelechi Iheanacho scored the only goal of the game after four minutes to send the Premier League side into the last-16.

The defeat is the final FA Cup fixture hosted by Griffin Park and although the Bees pushed for a late equaliser, it was not forthcoming.

However, Frank admitted afterwards a replay was the last thing he wanted with Brentford resting players ahead of Tuesday’s Championship match with Nottingham Forest.

“We ran them close enough,” he said. “What I didn’t want was a draw, so if we scored in the last minute there were only two options. One was to take the center-backs out or we put everybody up! I don’t understand how we can have replays in the FA Cup.

“I love the FA Cup, I think it is a fantastic tournament and I love that England have two cup tournaments – one of the only countries in the world. I love the culture and the tradition in England, but I don’t get (replays).
