IF ALEKSANDAR Mitrovic has ever been in a better goalscoring vein of form, it must have been pretty special.

At the time of writing, he had notched an astonishing 21 Championship goals from 18 games (and also weighed in with five assists) to guide Fulham to the top of the table.

He is well on course to smash the 31-goal record haul of Brentford’s Ivan Toney in the Championship era.

Indeed, if he can keep on scoring at a rate of more than a goal a game for the rest of the season, he could get close to half a century!

Okay, that may be asking a bit too much even for someone of the Serbian’s finishing ability, but it does appear the sky’s the limit right now.

I was lucky enough to see the 27-year-old hit his first hat-trick of the season against Swansea in late September in a 3-1 win.
