What are the next steps that Lockheed Martin is awaiting regarding the IAF fighter requirement?
Our proposed F-16 partnership with India stands firm. We recently submitted a comprehensive, fully compliant 600-plus page RFI response to the Indian Air Force. We are now awaiting formal requirements from the Indian Air Force that will drive further discussions.
How does Lockheed Martin intend to move forward on its partnership with Tata for aerospace and defence requirements?
Lockheed Martin recently emphasized its commitment to India by announcing the company will partner with TASL to commence production of F-16 wings in India. The landmark ‘Make in India’ announcement is a strategic initiative that positions TASL to become the provider of wings for all future customers. This is a strategic business decision that reflects the value of our partnerships with India and the confidence we have in Tata to this type of advanced defence manufacturing work. Building F-16 wings in India is a natural next step that builds on our successful partnerships with Tata on the C-130J airlifter and S-92 helicopter.
