Hughes Goes Viral With Spectacular Victory

Wow! That was the general con-sensus amongst the crowd at Belfast on Friday last as Paul Hughes won his BAMMA debut in absolutely spectacular fashion.

The 19-year old was up against unbeaten Polish opponent Adam Gustab, but Hughes did not show any nerves at all, smiling on his way to the ring before delivering an astonishing knockout within 90 seconds of the first round.
“It was absolutely incredible and something I’ll never forget,” the Lavey man said afterwards. “When you’re warming up you always have the nerves and when you’re watching guys get knocked out, you feel them but as soon as I got out there and I saw the cage and the crowd my mind cleared and from then, nothing was going to stop me.”
