When nu metal reached the United States' midwest in the late '90s, Slipknot emerged with a new ferocity that helped to cement the genre's legacy for the decades to come. The band's predecessors had already pioneered a sound by merging metal and hip-hop, but as history tells us, when the masked lowans turned it up to 11 and injected a far from subtle dose of electronics into the mix. For a young Harvey Freeman, now vocalist in rising UK crew Graphic Nature, that moment, Changed the world forever.
