I ’ve fallen in love with a colleague who’s had a longterm girlfriend for the past seven years. Just six months after meeting him at work, he said he was falling for me and we’ve since slept together.

There are fireworks every time we meet and I love spending weekends away with him – I’ve even met his family.

In the last month he said he split up with his girlfriend, and sleeps on the sofa while they’re selling the house.

But now he’s flipped – he says he can’t bear to give up on his life and his house, saying he needs space to work things out.

I don’t want to give up on him, but I can’t help thinking he’ll get back with her. Do I break things off for good?
