Northumberland County Show
Due to the ban on movement of birds from one location to another, Northumberland County Show committee and stewards under advice from Defra and the Poultry Club sadly decided not to go ahead with the poultry show this year, instead we would have an expanded egg show in its place. As it happens the ban was lifted in late April but there was not enough time to rearrange the poultry show and accept entries so we had to rely on our eggs to entertain our public. The weather on the day was not good with constant light showers interrupting the proceedings but this not deter our visitors and the general public played their part by dressing up appropriately and wearing sensible footwear to enjoy their bank holiday. There was a full turnout of 170 entries with no empty plates awaiting our judge, Mr Tom Moody from Consett, Co Durham.
