Creative and marketing whiz of bespoke menswear brand, Dmode by divine designz, Morley Patel gives Tina Thakrar an insight into the goings-on of the family run fashion studio.

Morley Patel could have had it easy in her career, but she chose to create her own path. Born in Mumbai to a family with a strong fashion and marketing background, and a home-grown business ready to take her on, Morley chose to step outside of her comfort zone. After over 15 years of honing her strong business and marketing skills, she went back to the family business to help set up an extension of it – DMODE by Divine Designz, a bespoke menswear brand in Mumbai – and became its creative and marketing head.
The compilation of outfits at DMODE’s sole store in the city gives visitors a sneak peak into what they’re best known for – sophisticated fits, elegant cuts, a blend of Asian heritage and Western cultures, superior weaves, exquisite embroidery, and a bespoke service that’s second to none.
Born to a Jain Kutchi father and a Sindhi mother, Morley grew up in a traditional family with her parents, younger brother Dhimant, and grandparents. Her world revolved around the suburb of Juhu, where she studied and lived until her marriage.
