ANDREW JOHN'S EX-WIFE HAS EMBRACED HER NEW CHAPTER

Cathrine Mahoney is on a mission to change the way people discuss divorce.

"It's one of those things that isn't spoken about enough," says the British-born author, who's well versed in the subject, given her marriage to rugby league star Andrew Johns ended in 2014.

Thinking back to "when the wheels fell off" her marriage, Cathrine, 47, says all she wanted was some Bridget Jones-esque guidance on how to get through it. Years later, after realising there "just wasn't a book like that out there", it became the inspiration for her debut release, Currently Between Husbands.

"It's not a self-help book - I'm still in therapy! But it's how I navigated the strange dating disasters and everything that came after it. I wanted to show the lows, the highs and the wobbly middle bits."
