I’m not saying gin is in a decline, it has been far from it, actually. What I am saying is perhaps the world is now looking at what’s next. And while there are a few potential superstars in the making, the next big thing in white spirits is, without a doubt, tequila and mezcal.

When I speak tequila, I don’t mean the industrial excuse for tequila that all of us have had in plenty just after crossing puberty. The truth is that for a lot of people, the very same tequilas are the way to go even today. Such a shame, really, because it does the image of tequila no good.
