The Lions Roar Again On A Spectacular Night Of Celebration
Celtic View
|Vol 53 Issue 45- Treble Special
ON an incredibly emotional and uplifting evening in Glasgow, the Celtic family celebrated the stunning achievements of the Lisbon Lions, 50 years to the day that they lifted the European Cup.

Around 13,000 Hoops supporters packed into the SSE Hydro on Thursday, May 25 to watch the world of football, music and entertainment pay tribute to Jock Stein’s side, who famously blew away Inter Milan at the Estadio Nacional to become the first British team to win the most prestigious prize in club football.
It was an extraordinary and unforgettable event, which showed why Celtic is such a unique club and its fans are so special.
There were tears, laughter, cheers and non-stop singing as the Lions’ inspirational story of success was told through speech and song.
Part of the fairytale was that all 11 players were born within 30 miles of Glasgow, a remarkable feat that is never likely to be emulated. They provided hope and belief to so many, and that was reflected on the choice of music of the evening.
The Red Hot Chilli Pipers performed Don’t Stop Believing, Susan Boyle sang I Dreamed A Dream
