IF the dominance of Celtic’s Scottish Cup semi-final win over Rangers wasn’t obvious enough in the scoreline, you need only consider Craig Gordon’s perspective on the game for additional clarity.

The Hoops stopper spent the majority of the afternoon looking on as his team-mates dismantled the opposition. And he believes a similar level of performance in the remaining games will be the key to securing a historic double treble.

Sunday’s 4-0 victory has set up a Scottish Cup final clash with Motherwell next month, while the Hoops go into this Saturday’s Premiership game against Hibernian at Easter Road knowing that victory will confirm them as champions for the seventh season in a row.

And Craig Gordon will be happy if he is as quiet this weekend as he was at the National Stadium.

“For the first hour I didn’t have many touches of the ball at all, even from pass-backs,” said the Celtic goalkeeper in an exclusive interview with the Celtic View.

“It was strange. Normally when we’re playing and passing the ball around at the back, the goalkeeper gets a few touches but on Sunday we were much further up the park and I was redundant for large spells of the game up until they were reduced to 10 men, and that stung them into life.
