My name is Sarah Wirthner, the Lady in Black, a 67-year-old crossdresser living in Berkshire.

Seven years ago upon retirement, I stepped up my interest in crossdressing. With more time and freedom to enjoy I created the persona of the Lady in Black, thus reflecting the character and personality of Sarah Wirthner - the challenge for me was to try and look as convincing as possible. I settled for the smart/ stylish look. Black appealed to me, as the appropriate colour to complement wig selection and jewellery accessories. The creative makeover process would be finalised in the capable hands of my good friend Sophie at Translife. On several occasions, I have visited Sophie for a makeover combined with an overnight stay.

In 2018 I was crowned Miss TLi and I won it on my first attempt - and first Eastbourne event for that matter - dressed as "Minnie Mouse", and after being a judge in 2019 there was something that stopped the following 2 years' events taking place... I can't quite remember what that was though??
