THE PROPERTY

after years of searching for the perfect spot to build his holiday home in Goa, architect Anshul Chodha ( Sanctuary Architects) finally found his dream location in the heart of the beautiful residential neighbourhood of Assagao village. A lush tropical landscape opening out into several thousand acres of agricultural land, with a hill of coconut orchards on the horizon, the area is both peaceful as well as full of nature’s bounty. The home is designed along two linear wings, separated by an open-to-sky courtyard which forms the heart of the house. The courtyard features a wooden log table for alfresco dining, and opens out from the living space as well as the kitchen. This further leads to a lush lawn and infinity pool designed in shades of blue green, reflecting the surrounding flora. The whole creates a seamless vista, conducive to meditation and oneness with nature.
