HOME PROFILE

THE OWNERS Entrepreneurs and developers in Mumbai, the owners are fond of outdoors and adventure. The couple has married daughters and this location was ideal for the empty-nesters as a holiday home where the entire family and friends could relax.

THE PROPERTY The house is situated on an acre of land. But because of the terrain, only half an acre was feasible for construction. The final built-up area is 6,500 sq ft and is spread over two levels. Lower level has living and dining areas, along with the master bedroom, kitchen and utilities, while the upper level accommodates four identical bedroom suites.

LIVING ROOM

The living room enjoys the panoramic views of the Western Ghats and opens on to the deck and lawn. All the furniture is designed by ADND.

While the quiet waves of the lake slowly swish away to expose the rolling green lawns, the serene swimming pool looks onto the unbelievable scenery unfolding in front of this gorgeous home. Designed by Ar. Shobhan Kothari, Ar. Anand Menon and Ar. Kiran Kapadia of KdnD studio LLP, the unusual architecture of this home at Aamby Valley, Lonavala is blessed with uninterrupted views of the Western Ghats.
