Tucked away in Gurugram’s DLF Magnolias, this 5,000 sq ft home represents a conglomeration of catchy aesthetics wrapped up in a cocoon of comfort. Reinventing the way people experience their homes, Urbanscape has successfully infused a distinctive persona into Vivek Singla’s residence, with utmost passion and detailed creativity. Walking us through the design brief behind creating the home, Dinesh Panwar, Principal Architect, Urbanscape reveals, ‘The owners, Vivek and his wife Sonia gave us complete freedom to work around a design that met both aesthetic and functional requirements. They supported every step of the design process which allowed us the leeway to experiment. Their only brief to us was to give them a home which felt like home.’

The design and architecture of any space never works in isolation; rather, they move in tandem with the milieu and its immediate setting. For example, the windows of the apartment that open out to the picturesque golf course on all sides, palpably highlight Magnolias’ glorious settings. The design style adopted here essentially rests upon the openness and fluidity offered by the space. ‘The main areas, like the living room and the master bedroom face the golf course. The rest of the bedrooms and the kitchen find their place towards the posterior portions of the apartment. The kitchen screen is ingeniously designed to offer a wholesome view of the golf course, while one is working in the kitchen.
