A trip to Berlin in 2017 changed my perception of photography forever. After years of capturing striking landscapes, exotic wildlife and flora, distant peoples and cultures, I discovered there was more to photography than meets the eye. The sheer scale of photographic artwork on view in Berlin's galleries forced me to look at my vast archive of photos and finally start experimenting with my arch-enemy, the computer!
Photography as visual art tells a story. I felt that it was time to push the boundaries beyond the traditional visual arts media to exude more of the deep emotions I felt when I shot the originals.
