Maximizing the views of the golf course while providing creature comforts was the core design tenet’, says architect Sharukh Mistry, of Cyan Villa, designed by Bangalore-based Mistry Architects.

Natural Architecture, Modern Aesthetics

The home is set in a plot of 11,250 sq ft at Clover Greens, a 170-acre residential golf project with villas around an 18-hole golf course, located in Sarjapur, on the outskirts of Bangalore. The design team concurred on planning a home that would be in sync with its surroundings. As the site overlooks the golf course, with views of greenery and water bodies on two sides, they decided to allow these elements to dictate the spatial flow and set the design approach.

The Client’s Requirements

The client – Assetz Property Group, one of the top real estate property developers in Bangalore who are developing the project of 150 villas, wanted a model villa to showcase the property as a spot for an ideal residence for those wishing to get away from the frenetic pace of the city and savour a pocket of serenity. As each site is large, the villas could be set in the centre of the plot and be surrounded by landscaping and thus have ample space between neighbours.

Given the location of the property and size of the plots, the client wanted the sample villa to enjoy an indoor-outdoor connect, views of the golf course and landscaped areas around it, and a sense of nature and calm in its built form and interiors. Further, there was the requirement for spacious interiors to host large gatherings, four bedrooms, common spaces, sit-outs and service areas.
