A stained-glass window inspired an era-appropriate renovation of a dated art deco bathroom in melbourne’s south

The beautiful stained-glass window is an original feature of the home and dictated the space’s aesthetic. “I think the window is the most gorgeous feature,” explains designer Olivia. “But I really believe the Kado ‘Arc’ freestanding bath from Reece is the star of the room. The organic bath shape beneath the window really makes a statement upon entry to the room.”

VANITY UNIT

The bathroom vanity, tucked in towards the back of the space, was custom-crafted by Antic Cabinet Makers to suit the theme and blend in. The ceramic stand-alone Reece basin came at the homeowner’s suggestion. “They wanted the basin to reflect the shape of the bath, and felt it made more of a statement sitting on top of the vanity unit,” says Olivia. >
