CONTEMPORARY CHARACTER

Michelle and Paul have reconfigured the ground floor of their home, doubling the size of their kitchen and creating a unique new scheme in Vintage Harlem Oak.

Although a relatively new property with a contemporary kitchen already in situ, it was the size of the original kitchen that was the overriding problem for Michelle and Paul. ‘The house is only around ten or twelve years old and we bought it five years ago. The kitchen we inherited with the house was quite cool; it was red and modern but it was very small. We really wanted a bigger kitchen that would lend itself to entertaining so we completely reconfigured the entire downstairs of the house and extended to add a garden room onto the back,’ says Michelle.
