Having sensitively refurbished this beautiful old property in leafy Rathgar, the owners have achieved a stunning contrast of old meets new, with the original dwelling opening onto a spectacular light-filled kitchen extension with seamless connection to the garden.

Having enlisted the expertise of their architect, Extend Architects and with their interior designer, Aine Sweeney on board, the couple took advice from both experts, as well as friends, in finding the right kitchen designer for this bespoke project. As it happened, friends had a beautiful Rhatigan & Hick kitchen, so the couple were aware of the company and the quality of their craftsmanship. Their interior designer highly recommended Rhatigan & Hick, having worked with them on numerous occasions as well as having a Rhatigan & Hick kitchen herself. With these reliable avenues of recommendation, the couple met with designer Ed Rhatigan at the showroom and the kitchen design evolved from there.
