Commercial projects are always conscious of time. And there are requirements, which more often than not, seem to exceed what is available. Consequently, conceptual design is very little scope to take root and proliferate. But when the head honcho of Mumbai-based Yarn Enterprises sensed that the design of his new office was lacking a certain something, he decided to issue a stop-work notice and part ways with the professional then in charge of the job. Word of mouth brought him to architect Annkur Khosla, whose award-winning Annkur Khosla Design Studio (AKDS) believes in taking a path less trodden to create unique designs with due respect to the site and the client’s brief.
