Work environments are important — they offer potential clients a first impression of a business and can be construed as a reflection of the brand. Therefore, when Pune-based AMPM Designs, headed by interior designer Poonam Mehta and lighting designer Akash Mehta, moved its office into a building in Viman Nagar, the duo took the opportunity to design the space so that it would reflect their design sensibilities.

Having founded the firm in 2014 with some interesting projects to their name, Poonam and Akash combine sensitivity and professionalism to deliver awe-inspiring designs and space solutions. Poonam, who has studied interior design at the University of Arts in London, had always had a certain vision about how her own office would look someday. After working with the likes of Talati & Pathanky and DSP Design and Associates, and experiencing office spaces that had a very systematic layout, she wanted her own office to be clean, open and classy. “We wanted a space which didn't look like a corporate office or even a messy architects’ space where clients would find samples and drawings lying around,” explains Poonam.
