A house maybe four walls and a ceiling, but a home is much more than that. It’s a result of aspirations, shaped by inspirations, imbued with emotion… which is why when one entrusts the task of making their home to someone else, the decision becomes one that is weighed carefully, deliberated over. So it was with this Rajkot-based family. Happily for them, the quest for the right expert wasn’t to be an arduous one — as they were good friends with architects Ankur Sanghvi and Hemal Tamboli of Tranquil-The Design Wave. And more importantly, they liked the duo’s work. “He believed that we could fulfill his requirements,” state the architects, adding that “requirements” in this case meant a simple house with traditional overtones. “Which also meant that a vastu-based layout was to be followed,” they reveal. “The client wanted a warm and comfortable space awash in natural light.”
