Ideal for a DIY novice, the simple design uses recycled timber, which is super easy to source – just grab an old pallet. You can usually find one for free on trading websites such as Gumtree, so you’ll have lots of free material for practice. Give it a crack!
Gather your supplies
• Recycled timber pallet
• Charcoal timber stain
You’ll also need
Demolition bar; hammer; mitre saw; drill; countersinking drill bit; PVA glue; 50mm countersunk wood screws; pencil; tape measure; clamps; square; handsaw; chisel; sander; painting gear; 20mm nails
Here’s how
STEP 1 Use a demolition bar and hammer to pull the pallet apart, taking care to keep slats of the pallet in one piece. Remove nails.
